This Red Santa Muerte is painted in consecrated inks, underwent a month of blessings before even getting repainted, and then was blessed and consecrated through various rituals for another few months!
She is awake, and this “incarnation” of La Roja rules of the infernal gates, she opens and closes the gates to the realms, awaken your passions, and devour fear and doubt and grant guidance. There are nine gates in Mictlan and this statues presentation concerns those “gates”. She also grants dominion over certain spirits.
